Role description

The Specialist Customer Care will help customers identify the right products and solutions for their applications, prepare accurate quotations, process complex orders and ensure an outstanding customer experience throughout the customer journey.

Key responsibilites

  • Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email and digital channels in a professional and timely manner.
  • Build strong relationships with both new and existing customers, delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Understand customer requirements and identify suitable product solutions.
  • Produce accurate quotations for a diverse and technically complex product range using SAP and other business systems.
  • Process customer orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring all specifications, pricing and delivery requirements are correctly captured.
  • Manage customer enquiries from quotation through to delivery.
  • Liaise closely with Sales, Production, Engineering, Logistics and other internal departments to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Resolve technical and commercial queries in a proactive and customer-focused manner.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our products, services and industry applications through ongoing training and development.
  • Identify opportunities to promote additional products and services that add value to customers.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution in line with company procedures.
  • Work collaboratively within the Customer Care Team to achieve departmental objectives and performance targets.

Desirable

  • Experience in customer service, sales support, technical support, internal sales or order processing.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial or technical environment.
  • Engineering, manufacturing, business or technical qualifications (HNC, HND, Apprenticeship, Degree or equivalent).
  • Experience using SAP, ERP or CRM systems.
  • Experience producing quotations and processing complex customer orders.
