Tailored belts for optimal performance

Seamless belts are truly endless belts with no splice or seam. Their homogeneous structure guarantees consistent performance, smooth and vibration‑free running, and dependable operation even in high‑speed applications. The range is composed by grabber belts, traditional seamless (rubber impregnated), coated seamless belts, rotary molder and coil wrapper.

Grabber belts

Habasit GRABBER belts are custom‑engineered for precise feeding and pulling applications. The cover material is selected to match the required friction and abrasion resistance. GRABBER seamless belts are mainly used in folder‑gluers and other non‑synchronous feeding applications in paper, board and printing while GRABBER timing belts are designed for VFFS machines and other synchronous pulling applications.

Grabber belts overview

Folder-gluer and sheet feeders

Applications:
  • High‑speed feeding of corrugated board and paperboard, requiring precise control and reliability
Key benefits:
  • Reliable high‑speed feeding thanks to uniform wear surfaces, tight tolerances, and high‑friction covers on truly endless belts
  • No delamination risk: sharp carton and corrugated edges cannot peel the rubber cover (unlike glued joints)
  • Maximum uptime with stable elasticity after run‑in: minimal elongation, no re‑tensioning, no downtime
  • Clean, consistent performance: ink‑resistant covers and constant coefficient of friction for uniform feeding and low maintenance
  • Process flexibility with tailor‑made holes, slots, and grooves for vacuum feeder applications
Typical cover options:
  • H04
  • A08
  • G11

Folder-gluer and sheet feeders

VFFS packaging

Applications:
  • Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) machines for accurate, high‑speed film or net handling during bag forming, filling, and sealing
Key benefits:
  • Precise film control with positive drive and high‑friction surfaces for accurate positioning and repeatable bag formation
  • Slip‑free transport through constant, uniform grip - no marking, no film damage
  • Stable performance over time thanks to dimensionally stable belts with no elongation
  • High process reliability with matched belt sets and bidirectional operation
  • Optimized for vacuum systems: tailor‑made holes, slots, countersinks, and partial tooth removal for secure film handling
  • Smooth, vibration‑free running ensuring uniform pull and consistent sealing quality
  • Enables compact machine design with small pulley diameters
  • Uniform friction and hardness for consistent grip and feeding accuracy
  • Superior durability: no glue, improved layer adhesion, reduced risk of cracking or tearing
  • Even wear and long service life compared to spliced rubber covers
Typical cover options:
  • H04
  • D02
  • C01
  • G04

Capper belts

Traditional seamless belts

These belts are manufactured by weaving tubular fabric in a continuous circular pattern and coating it with various elastomer materials according to the application. With no splice, they provide high strength for their thickness and very tight length tolerances.
Habasit seamless power transmission belts are designed for light‑duty applications such as lathes, grinders, vacuum cleaners, and spindle drives. Different fabric constructions allow multiple strength levels to match application requirements.
Seamless conveying belts are used for high‑speed transport of lightweight items including paper, currency, tickets, and envelopes. Friction characteristics can be tailored by selecting the appropriate rubber compound.
Available coating materials:
  • Neoprene: black, brown
  • PU: black
  • EPDM: black
  • Nitrile: white, grey, black

Rotary molder belts

Seamless rotary molder belts are used by biscuit manufacturers for all types of short dough, ranging from dry speculaas and Danish butter cookies to Scottish shortbread and Mediterranean frollini. The belt lifts the raw biscuits cleanly from the molding roller. Compared to jointed alternatives, the seamless design is preferred because it ensures uniform extraction and consistent molding quality.
Rotary molder belts are woven endlessly from natural fibers such as cotton and linen and are produced with true selvage edges for excellent tracking and high resistance to edge wear. Specific fiber blends and weave structures allow the belt to absorb fat and moisture from the dough, ensuring superior biscuit release, long service life, and high lateral stability.

Coil wrapper

Coil wrapper belts play a critical role in metal production, where they tightly coil steel, aluminum, or copper before the material is cut into sheets. Designed for demanding environments, these belts resist abrasion, cutting forces, and exposure to process chemicals.
Their robust covers ensure reliable performance even under repeated impact from sharp coil edges. The endless woven construction provides seamless strength and long service life, reducing downtime and maintenance. With customizable lengths and widths, coil wrapper belts deliver secure handling and high grip across a wide range of coil‑winding applications.
