Engineered for precise motion and synchronization

HabaSYNC® timing belts support conveying and linear movement applications where optimal performance depends on precise product placement and component positioning. High-quality materials coupled with our state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and years of experience ensure innovative solutions tailored to your needs. HabaSYNC® belts are generally used in applications requiring exact product placement and precise component positioning. Synchronization is achieved by meshing the belt teeth into a matching pulley. Our timing belts are available in imperial and metric pitches.

Open‑end timing belts provide a flexible, precision‑driven solution for reliable conveying. Supplied in coils or with joints, they can be cut to the exact length required and securely installed using clamps or mechanical fastening systems. Their precise tooth pitch with tight tolerances ensures accurate positioning and gentle product handling - reducing damage, bottlenecks, and downtime. At the same time, tighter product spacing enables higher throughput and improved overall efficiency.

For added versatility, open‑end timing belts can be joined endless to virtually any length, either in the workshop or directly on the conveyor. Optional polyamide fabrics enhance performance even further: friction‑reducing, wear‑resistant fabrics on the tooth side for smooth operation, and abrasion‑resistant fabrics on the conveying side for long service life in demanding applications.

Key products:

Open-end timing belts overview

Open-end timing belts

When large conveying surfaces struggle with positioning accuracy, slippage, or high energy consumption, HabaSYNC® wide timing belts provide a reliable synchronous solution. Engineered specifically for precise product positioning over wide areas, these belts are available in widths of up to 600 mm and ensure positive drive with fully synchronized, slip‑free movement. Minimal elongation guarantees accurate timing and consistent positioning, while reduced shaft load helps lower overall energy consumption.

For applications that demand flexibility across industries and operating conditions, HabaSYNC® wide timing belts adapt easily to diverse requirements from tire manufacturing and food processing to material handling and packaging.

Key products:

Wide timing belts

HabaSYNC® Flex seamless timing belts are designed for synchronous conveying and precise positioning of heavy loads. Their helically wound cord construction delivers twice the strength of conventional joined belts, making them suitable even for high‑power and high‑speed applications up to 10,000 rpm.

Produced in truly endless lengths, the seamless design ensures excellent reliability, minimal tolerances, and highly accurate positioning along the entire belt. Smaller tooth pitches enable smaller pulleys and shorter transfer points, allowing tighter product spacing, higher throughput, and improved overall efficiency - while ensuring gentle, damage‑free product handling.

Available pitches:

  • T-Series
  • AT-Series
  • HTD-Series
  • Double-Sided Types
  • Self-Tracking Types
  • Imperial Series
  • Flat Belt Series
  • Closed Flight Series
  • X- cord

Flex timing belts overview

Flex timing belts

Flat timing belts are designed for lifting and handling applications where linear movement combines with winding functions, delivering high strength, reliability, and safety. They offer an excellent alternative to hydraulic cylinders, chains, or steel cables for vertical transport and scissor-lift tables. Thanks to their flexible design, they allow smaller pulley diameters, saving space and costs. Additionally, their maintenance-free operation - without re-tensioning or lubrication - significantly reduces total cost of ownership.

Key features:

  • Standard thicknesses of 1.5 mm, 2 mm, and 3 mm with tight tolerances (other variants on request)
  • Available with exposed or non‑exposed cords
  • Belt widths from 25 mm to 150 mm
  • Wide choice of colors and base materials, including FDA/EU food‑approved and ESD options
  • Polyamide fabric available on one or both sides
  • Broad range of coatings and cleats for application‑specific needs
  • Excellent dynamic performance with minimal elongation over the belt lifetime

Flat timing belts

Cast timing belts are one‑piece, molded polyurethane timing belts created using a casting process rather than extrusion. This manufacturing method produces belts with no joints, no welds, and extremely high pitch accuracy, making them ideal for demanding conveying and power‑transmission applications.

Accesories overview

Habasit offers a wide range of custom‑designed pulleys in both metric and imperial pitches. The standard material is aluminium, but other options such as stainless steel, plastic, and UHMW are also available. Several designs can be selected, including bar stock, no flanges, single‑flange or double‑flange configurations, with or without hubs, as well as special machined finishes for keys and clamping mechanisms.

Habasit offers a wide range of HabiPLAST guides reducing the coefficient of friction (COF) between the teeth on HabaSYNC timig belts and the supporting conveyor surface. These guides are self-lubricating and designed to yeld low noise. The material also provides good chemical and corrosion resistance. HabiPLAST guides are available with or without raised edges with a flat support surface or with tracking guides machined in the HabiPAST surface to accommodate the most popular guides G6, G10 and G13 guides. HabiPLAST guides are available with or without metaling inserts.

Aluminium timing belts clamping plates are used to join the belt ends in linear positioning and vertical lift applications where the belt moves bidirectionally between the pulleys on a horizontal or vertical plane. Common applications: linear actuators, mechanical slides, automated storage and retrieval systems.
