Role description

The mission of the Specialist Production is to act as a support function to production (office based). This will be achieved by maintaining and improving the ERP system (SAP) for existing, new, and trial codes. This will include creation and maintenance of BOMs, Routings and Quality plans.

This role will also be responsible for verifying all production bookings have been completed, final confirmations and consulting with manufacturing to complete paperwork. We have several new and exciting projects coming up which all involve master data and project management. We are a small, collaborative, and hardworking team and look forward to you becoming a part of it.

Key responsibilites


Master data management (SAP)
  • Code creation and management.
  • Creation and amendments of BOMs.
  • Creation and amendment of routings.
  • Creation and amendments of quality plans.
  • Production variance analysis and improvements to BOMs/Routings.
  • Updating BOMs/Routings for clarity and ease of use.
  • Phase in/out of new materials.
  • Control of master data for trials.

Production Support

  • Review of production records for completeness and correction of booking errors.
  • Final confirmation of production records.
  • Interaction with Global support functions regarding problem solving and managing through to resolution.
  • Support with training in SAP for new operators.
  • Administrative tasks.

Stock management

  • Issuing stock check sheets.
  • Stock corrections.
  • Stock counting.
  • Analysis and fault finding.

Upcoming project work

  • Upgrading to S4/HANA.
  • New production planning software.
  • Improvements to MRP usage.
  • Commodity codes & origin of goods.

What we look for


Your education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SAP (R3 / S4 HANA).
  • Proven experience in a master data management role.
  • Proven experience in a production support function.
  • Proven experience of working in project teams and experience managing projects.
  • Good analytical skills combined with high level of resilience and initiative.
  • Strong MS office 365 skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Fluent in English (both verbal & written).
