Role description

Together with your team of three employees, you will ensure product quality in close cooperation with the production departments by handling customer and supplier complaints, as well as independently preparing, analyzing, and presenting KPIs. In addition, you will drive continuous process improvements, implement them in a reliable and collaborative manner, and maintain regular communication with international colleagues regarding complaint management and process optimization.

Key responsibilites

Leadership & Organization
  • Independent planning and coordination of tasks, as well as scheduling and deployment of the three team members.
  • You take on product responsibility for the Plastics division.
Operational Quality Assurance (Hands-On)
  • Performing incoming goods inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections of plastic components and assemblies.
  • Evaluating and documenting deviations, as well as initiating containment and corrective actions.
  • Close cooperation with production teams in analyzing quality issues directly on the shop floor.
Continuous Improvement & Complaint Management
  • Handling customer and supplier complaints, including 8D reports and CAPA measures.
  • Supporting the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities in production.

What we look for

  • Completed technical training (e.g., plastics process technician, tool mechanic, industrial mechanic) or a comparable qualification; ideally with additional technical certification as a technician/master craftsman or a university degree.
  • Several years of professional experience in quality assurance, preferably in plastics processing (injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming).
  • Knowledge of common QA methods: 8D, Ishikawa, SPC.
  • Initial leadership experience is explicitly welcome – for example as a team or shift supervisor.
  • Hands-on mentality: you are not hesitant to actively work in inspection or production areas yourself.
  • Strong communication skills and team spirit – acting as a bridge between QA, production, and management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and the ability to communicate in English are required for this role.
  • Experience using SAP and a CRM system (SugarCRM) is considered an advantage.
