Every year on June 23, the world celebrates International Women in Engineering Day – a global initiative dedicated to recognising the achievements of women in engineering and highlighting their essential contributions to the profession.

It is also an opportunity to inspire and encourage more women to consider and pursue careers in engineering.
At Habasit, we are proud to have many talented female engineers who bring innovation, expertise, and fresh perspectives to their work every day. In this article, we introduce three colleagues who share their professional journeys, along with the experiences and inspirations that led them to choose engineering as a career path.

From curiosity to career

Their stories show how early hands-on experiences – such as repairing cars, a passion for science and chemistry, or curiosity sparked by natural phenomena like the lotus effect – can evolve into a lifelong interest in engineering. Today, they lead innovative projects, including the development of low-VOC adhesives, and emphasise the importance of continuous learning, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration in driving progress.
