Role description

The role of the Specialist Accounting is to deliver high quality, accurate, and compliant accounting services within a global Shared Services Center, ensuring standardized, efficient, and scalable financial processes across multiple international entities. The role ensures timely and reliable financial reporting, strengthens internal controls, and supports continuous process improvement while partnering with stakeholders across the global organization.

Key responsibilites

Accurately post and process purchase invoices in line with accounting standards and internal policies.
Review and verify financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and tax compliance.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, as well as accounts payable and receivable balances.
Process and settle employee expenses, including business trips and corporate card transactions.
Prepare VAT records (JPK VAT) and support EU VAT reporting requirements.
Calculate and support reporting of corporate income tax (CIT) and withholding tax (WHT).
Prepare financial statements and statutory reports required by regulatory bodies (e.g., statistical offices, Intrastat, central banks).
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across EMEA (finance, sales, procurement) to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes and Group reporting.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate data and explanations.
Contribute to the transition and standardization of accounting processes within the Shared Services Center (SSC).

What we look for

Your education and experience

University degree in accounting/finance, or a comparable field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting department.
Proficiency in Excel.
Fluent in Polish and English (both verbal and written).
Able to travel up to 10% of time.

Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations in a multinational environment, including experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
