Your main challenges

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION : 

  • Drive improvement (results) through data analysis, problem solving and subsequent (continuous) process improvement(s)
  • Provide and/or apply technical QA support (train expected behaviors) to achieve desired process outcomes, including but not limited to use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Resolve quality issues regarding capability and tolerances on existing and new processes 
  • Audit results to assess impact of process changes
  • Conduct/have conducted process audits at necessary frequency
  • Apply appropriate use of statistical techniques
  • Collaborate w/ applicable functional leadership to monitor and measure/validate (new/adjusted) process outputs  
  • Develop the needed processes and behaviors to address and formally respond to specific customer issues
  • Competent interface with company quality systems/modules
  • Develop and grade/apply the applicable Level of Fix to claims/processes, including updating of ERP records
  • Lead/develop the validation protocol (including results) of new and/or relocated equipment/process
  • Assess use of measurement systems and sampling process to recommend improvements to business objectives 
  • Support business quality system registration as needed
  • Interface w/ other business functions to lead (or assist) in the resolve of specific customer problems
  • Analyze/direct the analysis of applicable customer returns as necessary
  • Lead/direct QA inspection associates/resources
  • Present QA results to site/business leadership
  • Assist in development of annual QA objectives
  • Assist in annual applicable budget planning and management
  • Responsible for site/business visual QA reporting and metrics
  • Responsible to lead/assist in correction of QA shop floor nonconformance with applicable site management

  • Required – Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Required – Minimum 5 years experience within industrial manufacturing setting
  • Required – ISO 9001 literacy
  • Required – process auditing experience
  • Required – presentation skills – written and verbal
  • Required – hands-on and administrative capability
  • Required – Read, write, and comprehend English
  • Preferred – behavioral competencies – adaptable, assertive, communicator, coach/counselor, energetic, diplomat, initiator, influencer, organizer
  • Preferred – Master of Science degree in QA
  • Preferred – Professional independent certification (CQE or related)
  • Preferred – literacy w/ FMEA, FAI, APQP, PPAP
  • Preferred - Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
