Provide Engineering & Technical Services to target customers

Your main challenges

  • Maintain high-level knowledge of all products, services, mfg. operations & fabrication capabilities, and relevant industries through company’s resources and self-education. 
  • Engage with company sales representatives and their customers in providing presale and post-sale application engineering support. 
  • Act as principle application engineering point of contact for customers and sales representative for assigned sales area. 
  • Provide general and value added application engineering support for all products i.e.:
    • Take ownership of situations to effectively resolve matters in a timely manner. 
    • Effectively offer solutions for customers based on clear application requirements to best meet customers’ requirements and company sales objectives.
    • Oversee field testing activities of products.
    • Provide on-site troubleshooting support.
    • Engage in project activities.
    • Deliver technical presentations to customers.
    • Support special pricing and materials mgt. activities as it relates to specific acct. efforts. 
  • Support account sales goals and strategies. 
  • Communicate regularly with sales team members regarding account activities. 
  • Identify leads through active listening and probing for customer requirements and opportunities, as well as proactive industry research.
  • Participate in customer visits with sales representatives to develop & maintain strong supplier/customer relationships. 
  • Maximize scope of supply. 
    • Recognize that a customer using one product type may have opportunities to purchase others. 
    • Demonstrate proactive selling of products.
    • Identify opportunities for expanding the sale through additional options and/or complimentary products.
    • Identify and communicate product/service improvements based on customer feedback/experience. 
  • Support contact management database through including personal activities. 
  • Interact with key Habasit Group personnel in Knowledge Mgt., R&D, & Product Mgt. in support of personal growth, product improvement & development.

  • Required – Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years industrial experience plus minimum 3 years in customer facing role – belting and/or conveying related experience preferred. 
  • Required – Work inside office and travel in support of outside sales force and customers as part of team; Travel requirement 20% 
  • Required – Experienced in mechanical design, analysis and troubleshooting; technical writing; and time/task management.
  • Required – Excellent interpersonal skills; practiced in public speaking and face-to-face consultation.
  • Required – Proactive problem solver
  • Required – Able to multitask & work well in a team.  
  • Required – Competent with Microsoft Office: including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and CAD. 
  • Required – Customer and results oriented
