Role description
The mission of the Continuous Improvement Engineer is to support the development and implementation of a Performance Excellence system, by leading hands-on and on-site improvement projects, with usage of Lean, Six Sigma and TPM concepts & tools assessing the effectiveness of the implementation, all leading to sustainable improvements of the Performance result and an engaged team of experts.
Your main challenges
- Development of the Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement system (Habasit Performance Excellence System - HAPEX System)
- Writing the modules of the HAPEX System
- Developing HAPEX training material
- Site assessments on priorities; determine steps to implement initiatives
- HAPEX System assessment on site to determine level of maturity after (initial) implementation
- Co- assessor of HAPEX System
- Trainer of HAPEX process, tools and techniques
- Leading complicated Improvement projects on plant level
- Leading workshops and implementation events
- Coaching local Performance Excellence Coordinators
What we look for
Education and experience
- Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or related field (4 years degree)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the development and implementation in the areas of Continuous Improvement Lean principles, TPM, Six Sigma, Operational or Performance Excellence, World Class Manufacturing, etc.
- Qualification level ideally Lean Six Sigma Black belt / Coach
