Role description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team within the timing belt industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing projects from inception through completion, ensuring that all project objectives are met on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills and experience working with manufacturing processes, product specifications, and industry standards.
Your main challenges
Project Planning and Initiation:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Identify project requirements and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project are covered.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, production staff, and external vendors.
- Monitor project progress and performance against the project plan, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management and Problem Solving:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
- Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the project, ensuring swift and effective solutions.
- Implement change management processes to handle project scope changes and ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement in future projects.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Act as the main point of contact for project-related inquiries and communications.
What we look for
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, or a related field. PMP certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- Experience: Green belt certified preferred
Competencies
To be successful in this role, this individual should have extensive experience working in a manufacturing or service company
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, etc).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ISO/TS standards).
