CM100FBS's non-woven carcass solves belt-crippling shrinkage

A midwestern bakery of specialty breads endured frequent castrophic belt failures, requiring constant and costly replacement purchases and maintenance. The high-temperature and oily environment caused belt shrinkage, which resulted in wrinkles and tears on the numerous 2-ply TPU belts tested. Belt strain was further increased by the tight nosebar at the oven infeed, accelerating belt wear.

To combat the detrimental shrinkage, the bakery required a food-grade belt suitable for high temperatures, oily environments, and tight nosebars. Habasit satisfied this requirement with the CM100FBS, which features a non-woven carcass for resistance to shrinkage and a food-grade cotton for temperature stability. The thin one-ply design achieves nosebar suitability, and the latex impregnation provides oil resistance.
